Hanging around Toronto

Jack Johnson and The XX

I visited two concerts. First I have been to British indie band The xx. The concert took place on Echo Beach its stage on lake shore by Ontario lake. It was amazing, great atmosphere and they played all their famous songs. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any photos, cause my battery went down.

The second concert was Hawaiian guitar singer and singer Jack Johnson. I knew him many years but I have never could imagine that I am gonna see him in person. I really enjoyed it. The concert took place in the same place by the lakeshore, but this time on a different stage called the Budweiser stage. It’s a big amphitheater and there were so many people. Both tickets I bought again through the StubHub, it’s such a great site. Tickets cost around 30 USD., but it was worth it.

Toronto Marlies, Torontonian ice hockey team from the AHL got to the Calder Cup Conference semifinals. So I had a chance to see a little bit of ice hockey. The tickets were so cheap(7 CAD) compare to NHL and the stadium Ricoh Coliseum is smaller than air Canada center so actually, the atmosphere is much better than NHL, I really liked to watch it, unfortunately, Marlies didn’t go through semifinals but anyway good experience.

I am still visiting some nice restaurants one of them definitely was Seolicious in Yonge Street.

Sports are my life and Toronto its great place for the sports fan. I did go to a soccer game again. This time we had tickets just right on the field and the weather was amazing, so it was better than last time. The only thing that I have to say it that the quality of Major League Soccer (MLS) is not so good.:)

I liked watching downtown panorama from different places so my friend told me about Downsview. It’s east of Toronto and the view of the city is amazing. If you want just chill on the grass with a beautiful view just go there.

End of May holds place festival open doors Toronto. Many Toronto buildings which are usually closed to the public was open to visiting and everything for free. I had a chance to see The old Don Jail – Old prison. It was nice, but have to say that the atmosphere is gone. Everything its renovated so you don’t have a feeling like in prison.

Scarborough bluffs again and again. You can never get enough Scarborough Bluffs (read my previous post about them here). Just enjoy the pictures!:)
